This is my friend Naomi and her son, Gavin.

This photo was taken Friday night at the wedding we attended.  Naomi is just one of the sweetest girls you'll ever meet.  Sunday morning, they awoke to find two knots protruding from Gavin's side so they rushed him to the hospital. He's just been the typical little boy, running and playing, seemingly healthy.  But what they found on Sunday was devastating, a mass on his lungs, 14 cm.  It's too large to remove by surgery.  They did a biopsy to confirm that it's cancer.  So little Gavin will undergo 6 months of chemo in hopes of shrinking the tumor, then surgery to remove it followed by 6 more months of chemo.  
I have been so heartbroken about this.  But we are feeling more optimistic than in the beginning.  They first predicted the very worst.  We are thankful that it can be treated and are praying for a miracle.
