The Borrowed House Kitchen and a Giveaway

If you'd like to enter my giveaway, go HERE.  The giveaway consists of  8 very nice Thanksgiving goodies.

I'm delighted to have my friends follow me over to this new blog and equally excited about some new friends I've made.  Welcome!  This post will be for the benefit of my new friends.  Bear with me if you've seen this before.  I haven't showed all of the main living areas in my borrowed house so I'm starting with the kitchen.  (kind of lazy of me to start with a rerun but I've been busy getting the new blog together.)  For those who don't know, the borrowed house is aka the rental.  So hard to live in a rental when you like to decorate!  And what's worse is the short time we'll probably be here.  I can't justify any new spending and it's really killing me.  I've surprised myself of how much I've recycled, even shopping my yard sale boxes.  So far, I've probably spent $100 total on the house and that's my limit.  Knock on wood.

Before-

After-

Nothing major.  You know the routine.  No painting, no structural changes allowed.  Not to mention we'll only occupy for about a year.  So I'm not even allowing myself to do window treatments!  Help!  I'll have to be admitted to Decorator's Anonymous after this.  Actually, it's been good for me.  You really can get by on a lot less than you think.  Just keep changing around what you have.  It's fun.  I've already changed this little hallway.  (later post)  Rethink your decor.  You might be surprised with what you come up with!
