Lindsay & Michael were married on June 5th at Knowlton Mansion, a beautiful historic Mansion in Philadelphia. Lindsay and Michael took a very DIY approach to their wedding and the day had a very had crafted and personal feel.
While the girls got ready together Lindsay gave a gift of different pairs of leaf earrings from etsy.com to each of her bridesmaids for them to wear. This thoughtful present was meant to symbolize how her friends were her roots and her support. The girls did all their own hair and helped each other with make up. Lindsay chose a beautiful Nicole Miller dress that she wore with a pair of yellow Gap Inc. sandals and the bridesmaids all wore grey chiffon dresses with different color Gap Inc. sandals.
Knowlton Mansion is filled with antiques and offers endless photo opportunities
Mike's brothers and friends acted as groomsmen and they all looked fantastic in black tuxedos.
Rather than flowers, Lindsay decorated each table with different bird cages as well as mason jars filled with tea lights for the centerpieces. And for her and her bridesmaids they had a few simple sun flowers.
We love to see a dance floor where everyone is dancing, including grandmom! Lindsay and Michael had a rocking dance floor the whole night! The party ended with an impromtu circle where every one joined arms and basically gave one big group hug. It felt like a tradition that should be at every wedding, even though it just spontaneously happened!
Thanks Lindsay & Michael for letting us share in your beautiful day!
