GRID Magazine's Wedding Issue

I had the pleasure of working with GRID Magazine's talented crew on the cover story for this month's Wedding Issue of GRID Magazine, shooting both the cover and related photos inside.  We designed the shoot around sustainability, by featuring local vendors who use recycled materials or environmentally conscious practices.  Pick up a copy of GRID Magazine this month, you can find it in coffee shops and stores around Philadelphia that have an environmentally conscious approach to their business or read the magazine online. If your feeling like the wedding industry is focused too much on stuff and less about what you care about, the wedding issue of GRID is full of great information about local sustainable wedding options and vendors.  From caterers who source their food locally, honeymoon locations right here in Pennsylvania that reduce your cabon footprint by skipping the plane ride across the continent to local jewelers that use conflict-free gems and reclaimed precious metals.

We trekked around Bowman's Tower Wildflower Preserve in the rain for the shoot- if you can believe it!  Hidden from the rain beneath the canopy of trees we took some beautiful shots around this amazing nature preserve, which rents its grounds for wedding and receptions.  Ada, of Oma Vintage in Philadelphia, and her fiancee Rick, were amazing models.  Working with a real couple made the shoot feel laid back and natural.  Ada's vintage dress was from Mill Crest Vintage in Lambertville, NJ, Rick's bow tie came from Philadelphia's Forage Bow Ties and Jennie of Love N' Fresh Flowers, designed and grew all the flowers for the beautiful bouquet on her farm in Germantown, PA.
